Silvio update - second prototype testing

I'd like to annouce that the prototyping phrase is complete and we are commencing production. Looks like final weight is under 10.5kg / 23lbs

I'd like to do a straw poll if I may request you assistance. Attached is one picture of Silvio with a fairing and one without. If you bought a Silvio, would you fit a fairing, or not?

I'm tossing up whether to include mounting plates that would make the fairing fitment almost seamless. Please help me decide! :)

The main news is the pictures included here and a short riding report. Enjoy your Easter break, be safe.

Riding Report

The front air shock is proving exceptionally good. It is a low stiction shock, meaning the front seems to float over the bumps, keeping a very even pressure on the front and giving wonderful traction. There is no pogo effect, it has been completely eliminated in this design.

The stiffness on the front is beyond what I can test, so far I have not found any flex in the drive system whatever. This is an improvement over any other recumbent I have ridden.

Handling is as good as the confidence I can muster in the traction of the tires. The lean and turn in is so progressive that I could easily dial in more lean than the tires would support.

With the fairing, a lot of the wind turbulence is gone, making for a more enjoyable ride over longer distances. Speeds are noticably better, but this is of course difficult to measure with any accuracy, since with just one prototype of this kind, (and one rider of this capacity) a control measure cannot be taken.

I run this on the large chainwheel at the front, pretty well all the time around Perth anyway.

Happy to respond to any questions you may have.

Oh, BTW, did I mention this is a fast bike? :)
