Rick, Could you tell me where you purchased the components for your 1x setup? Also, it would be helpful if you listed the components used. I.e. BB, Cranks, bifters, etc.
Thanks
Hey Robert, At the retreat you mentioned there was a way to lock down the front shock on the S30. ...knowledge which I never gleaned from you. Would you explain how to do that? I would like to see how different the bike feels and handles.
Thanks
Yes, I use the Cat-Ears. ...excellent at reducing wind noise. Mine are the originals which are bulky and unattractive. The newer versions are less conspicuous yet still do the job I'm told.
Hi Bob, It was great meeting you this past weekend. I'm looking for a little more help with the Q rings we talked about. I found the "Q Ring Upgrade thread and followed the Jenson link. I'm not sure what tooth count I should get. ...34, 36,38, 44? Also, I looked on the Back Country website...

I carried three water bottles. One on the boom, one on the seat and one on the outside of one of the panniers.

Short Cranks
I have been using short cranks on my Vendetta for about two years. The crankset is an FSA Gossamer compact double cut down to 153.5mm. I feel like they are easier on my knees, with little effect on speed. On my next Silvio I would like to get a crankset with arms @ or around...
