appropriate front shock pressure

1) I weigh 167 pounds (76 kilos). What would be an appropriate psi for the front shock on paved roads?

2) I find that the shock loses about 20 psi over night when the Silvio is stored in my basement where the over night temperature is 66 degrees F. (19 C.). Is this a normal over night loss of pressure?

Thanks for replies.

The KS rep I spoke to recommended using your weight as atsrt point 167 lbs - 167 psi.

when you set pressure then disconnect the pressue in the shock should hold. When you disconnect the hose the hissing sound is the pressurized air leaving the pump. When you reconnect the pump there will be a drop on the gauge because air from the shock is being used to pressurize the pump between the valve and the pressure gauge. Try pumping the shock to 170 then disconnect and reconnect. You should see a drop everytime. If it drops more than a bit it is likely a bad valve.
