Buying a used Cruzbike from across the country.

Hello,

I am looking for advice on how others have paid and shipped bikes that were not local. Looking for a way to run the financial transaction so both the buyer and seller have protection.

Also what is the best way to ship? UPS or FedEx?

shipbikes.com seems to have a preferred rate with FedEx as the carrier even if you do not use their e-shipper boxes.
I have used an escrow company, Safefunds.com , anybody know of a cheaper way ??
