Exceptional Ride Leader

So there I am thumbing through the Cascade Courier, the monthly publication sent to members of the largest bicycle advocacy group in the USA.

With pictures of STP's past and other rides I usually look for a recumbent.
I'm on page 5 when I uncharacteristically say out loud

"Ya know, would it KILL them to give a little recumbent love every once in a while!"

So I turn the page and what to my wondering eyes would appear on page 9 but an Exceptional Ride Leader named...Robert Onishi!
Congrats man!

Great to see a recumbent pictured in the Courier!

There are a LOT of exceptional ride leaders at Cascade, but it is nice to get a 'bent a little love. Required disclaimer; I am a big helmet proponent, I've put too many to really good use not to be. This photo was at work in the middle of the day (note the boots, 5.11 pants, and the requisite Sherman jersey) on a playoff week Seahawks Blue Friday, not in the middle of an actual ride. Lief's old home town of Renton (my employer) is home to the Hawks training facility.
