Internal fd cable routing?

More newbie questions here. Can the front derailleur cable be routed internally through the boom? It would seem like a clean and logical arrangement.

Challenges to this

Challenges to this include:

• avoiding holes in the tube system where the tube is carrying bending moments
• managing leg length adjustment
• avoiding a chicane path where the cable want to transfer from outside to inside of the slider.
