Maintenance tips

Hi all!

I've been fine tuning the Silvio for another season of riding and came across some tips that might be helpful:

1. I've always had a bit of a problem with the air shock loosing air... I realized that the valve is just a standard car tire type valve, so it is easy to replace. Go to any car parts store and get new valve core and a valve replacement tool. All together its about $8. The tool is like a screw driver with a notch in it that can be used to unscrew the valve core. I replaced that and no more air leaks.

2. Along the same lines, I've always had hassles using the supplied shock pump. Many times it would release the air instead of keeping it in! I found this Cane Creek pump on Amazon.. seems to work much better: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ZMUV7U/ref=oss_product

3. Also. to save a trip to the LBS for a d?railleur tune up, try this YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2j1gSwhsVN8. Very well done and makes it easy to do. My gears haven't been smoother!

Hope this helps!
