My 2nd ride on the Silvio - a testament to a great design

Beautiful day on The Strand in the South Bay in SO. Cal. Low 70's. This was my second ride since building my Silvio, other than rides in the neighborhood tt get used to riding it. 36 miles and I his sustained speeds of 28 mph for a couple minutes, drafting a catering truck in Venice. I rode 22 mpg on flat narrow Strand bike path weaving in & out of pedestrian and rollerbladers. I passed many club riders. One tried to keep up with me but I dropped him. Other than weight training in the gym the last couple of months, I have virtually no fitness. I haven't ridden a bike in over seven years. That is a testament to the Silvio, which I bought in order to get back into riding since I quit due to bulging discs in my neck & lower back. I was very comfortable on the bike. I rode up steep (but short) hills, where I had to lean as much forward as possible in order to keep the wheel from spinning.
In short - I LOVE THIS BIKE!
