Puget Sound Recumbent riders who don't melt in the rain.

We had our weekend outing on Sunday Oct 18th. 7 Recumbent riders showed up who would rather ride in the rain than watch the Seahawks disappoint us again. It was a good showing despite the weather. I forgot to take any pictures of myself or my bike. I am not the videographer than Glenn is. And Glenn just posted his MS ride videos with So Cal trikers in the rain, depriving me of my joke that California riders melt in the rain.

All is good and I hope you enjoy the video. We had
Myself on a Vendetta
Brad on his Zox
Joe on his homebuilt lowracer
Troy on a Silvio V30.
Craig on a brand new Encore (so pretty).
And the Gold Rush couple who I hope forgive me for forgetting their names.

The weather was better the farther North we got and when Craig and I went back South it rained on us again. About 27 miles round trip.

Any suggestions on a good rain jacket?
Desired specs:
- for warm climates (read Rio de Janeiro)
- small pack (slip into a small pannier)
- not pricey

I use this Frogg Togg suit. It's cheap. It's surprisingly durable considering (I ripped the pants, but that really was my fault), and I always carry it with me when I commute by bike. I haven't worn it when it's really warm (because in that case, I just don't care if I'm getting wet), but it does breath fairly (somewhat?) well.
