Hello all,
I took the Quest down to San Antonio, Texas, this past week. There was quite a bit of activity in the downtown area on the evening I arrived as Game 6 of the NBA finals was being played in Miami. Unfortunately, they lost in overtime, and lost Game 7 last night as well.
Anyway, the River Walk is one of the most prominent feature in San Antonio, and it turns into a designated Bike Path just a bit outside of the the downtown area. It is spectacular! I headed out on the path and intended to ride along the river for the length of the path, but there were several lengths closed for construction. It seems that a flash flood wreaked havoc on the trail system this past May. Several detours were required to link up with various open sections. All in all, it was still a worthwhile trek though.
Here's a few pic's...
(not sure why that one loaded sideways??)
