The shock on my QX100 is a "KSPEED 261" which I thought was a dead simple elastomer job, but the internet tells me it's a coil spring. Is this the shock you're both talking about?
Yes.

Did the original pogo, or what?
Yes. I didn't realize it until I put the new shock on. Now I'm aware of a bit of front suspension pogoing when I climb a short, semi-steep hill, that I had never noticed before. The KSPEED 261 can be adjusted. I tried it but couldn't tell much difference--I must not have been turning the right part, or turning it the right way, or not turning it enough.

I have a Softrider V1.0 and a Quest V1.0.
The Softrider with an exposed spring unit with no shocker, kicked like hell when going over a large bump, and needed an air shock to tame it!!!
The Quest V1.0 2010, enclosed spring unit with no shocker, worked heaps better and I stopped looking for a 125 mm air shocker!
