I had to raise the back to get the proper recline for me, it just was too much recline directly on the frame. As I mentioned, I went back to the original seat. It's just about perfect for me. The headrest is great, you just have to get it adjusted right.
One other thing I didn't like on the original setup was how little the velcro held the seat. Every time I lifted the bike, the seat moved. I put some heavy duty velcro on, but that really didn't work. I fixed it by drilling two 1/4" holes in the fiberglass seat back and used a large ty-rap to hold it to the headrest frame. Perfect.

The 2 Aluminum seat pans on

The 2 Aluminum seat pans on the Quest and Softrider weigh 1.375 Kg (3 lbs).

I was wondering what the Fibreglass seat pans weighed.

I just happen to have my seat off

I just happed to have my seat off - the weight of the stock seat pan from a Silvio 2.1 is 2 lbs - 1.8 oz.
