Simplifying the Silvio back end

I have been thinking more about the design of the rear of the Silvio, and it seems to me that the rear triangle arrangement could be simplified, with potential cost and weight benefits. Many european recumbent designs (e.g. Optima, M5, Challenge, ) use a single split boom to connect to the rear wheel. Could this approach work for the Silvio? Given that this is not a drive wheel on a Cruzbike, I would imagine it could be implemented very simply. It would also move the rear brake down, giving more room for a rack or tail box. Consider, for example, coupling the rear end of the M5 carbon highracer (without drive) with the front end of the Silvio.... elegant no? Just a thought. Any comments appreciated. Cheers, Rob
