Subjective Sanity

My life has been insane for years now.
And this week?
Another giant blow.

I'll spare you the details.

One of the best decisions of my life has been
the purchase of my Cruzbike Sofrider V1.

The only reasons I bought the Cruzbike instead
of any other bike?
-Comfort. I literally cannot sit on a standard bicycle saddle.
-Engineering. The front-wheel drive's simplicity just makes sense.
(Sane bike!)

Riding the bike keeps me centered, fit and sane.
Without the bike I think I would have become insane years ago.
(Sanity -priceless!)

That's my ride report:
and... now it's time to go for a bike ride, if I want to beat the rain.

Hey Yak!! Great to hear from you.

I've always said that a bicycle was, to me, a combination therapist and health club.

Glad you're still riding.

Hey Yak, '
Wierd how the colour schemes match between your bike and that glorious tree!

I've been riding my Vendetta prototype, resting heart rate over the last three months has dropped from 68 to 56. I'm caining anyone out there, no matter what they're on or how young they are.

I've always thought the Yak-mods to the V1 were kickin'.

Sorry about your "blow"; without details, let me wish you the best through it.

Post some more of these great photos.

And don't be a stranger - ya'll come back now, y'hear?

Best,

Doug

I also liked your modifications and it’s good to see that they were well made so you can still ride it with your special setup.

Exercising in one way or another outdoors is good for your health and sanity.
Riding a bike you can see a lot of scenery which is very good for your brain.
Looking at your picture I’m sure you have many good views from your seat on your riding trips.

We have had a longer and colder winter then normal I have skied many times this year which is fun and a good workout and you experience that nature can also be beautiful in the winter.
One good thing about winter is you don’t get wet from the rain the snow you just brush it off.

I have also ridden my Sofrider to and from work this winter the speed has been very slow it’s been slippery conditions the whole winter.
Weather is improving and in a few weeks I hope to be able to use summer tires again.

I’m sure many people would have better health if they rode a bike on regular basis both physically and mentally.
I hope some of your problems will go away and you still will be able to have many good rides on your Sofrider.

Thank you, everyone.

(See? I stopped. You're looking at the proof....)

Here's a little off-topic tidbit:

Since both my custom chain stay and seat pan
have worked so well, I'm going ahead with
my custom frame.

The design is finalised and construction has begun.

(Sorry, Mark: no carbon fibre, too expensive.)

The composite frame is a balsa core, glass fibre/epoxy resin
design.
Like my kayaks... rugged, custom-fitted, light weight, dependable and FAST.

When it's completed and tested, I'll post photos.

It looks like a slightly shrunken Silvio, but with more attention paid
to aerodynamics.
It will probably resemble the Vendetta!

Time to go riding, so.

-Steve
