Upgraded Front Clamp

Hi Folks

In my advert selling my conversion I mentioned that I had upgraded the front clamps on the bike. I have had some interest on what I had done, hence this post.

Basically, I have replaced the hose pipe clamps with the clamps in the pictures below. It was a while ago, so I'm not sure, but I think that the new clamps are exhaust pipe clamps from the local car accessory shop.

I've long wondered what alternatives are out there. Looks like a t bolt clamp. Thanks for sharing.

u bolt?

I am thinking of using u-bolts coated with plastic instead of hose clamps for the front fork. I would also like to use a square shoulder u-bolt to attach the seat support bracket.

u-bolt mount would allow use of a knurled knob to remove seat without tools, assuming I use a quick release on the seat back post clamp.

Any thoughts, warnings or comments?
