Using precious riding time improving your bike

Anybody else use precious riding time upgrading or reinventing / reimplementing forum ideas as an idea suddenly becomes clear just before or just after starting a ride. I say this as I have little time to ride these days unfortunately. Although today I did get a fairly decent ride in and spend 20 minutes adjusting my ventsit headrest to were I like it thanks to @ratz may put photos up later

Improved ventsit headrest cable tied to headrest pole instead of slipped over to give thicker pad, plus a roll to bulge it out a little. I actually have it to the point now I want to secure the headrest. Unfortunately shipping makes @RojoRacing 's clamps cost prohibitive. I am thinking of aluminium or wood plate design but my handy man skills leave much to be desired.
