I just received my New Silvio and ordered with an Ultegra Tripple group set. I am assembling it myself. It came with a CN-HG93 Ultegra chain for 9-speed systems, but the tripple requires a CN-6600 chain for 10-speed cassettes. Was it a mistake on Cruzbike's part to include the 9-speed chain, or is it special to the Silvio setup? I tend to think that it has nothing to do with the bike, only the cassette and front chainwheel, tripple in my case.

Yes, it was our mistake to

Yes, it was our mistake to send the 9 speed chain.

You are right, the whole component set is entirely independent of the frame, as far as the components could tell, they have no idea they are not fitted to a regular bike. This means that we follow the manufacturer's instructions to the letter on the whole component sets, there is not need to mix and match parts, rather keeping to convention and the security afforded thereby.

Although Shimano recommends

Although Shimano recommends the 6600 for the triple,  the 6700 directional chain shifts better, especially with a 6700 cassette.
