CruzBike 3kc have two largish climbs to put them on top of the Appalachian mountain ridge, if they keep some lead over the Aussies or even if they fall behind a little bit they should retain/regain the lead to the end of the race (barring some disaster). I think it's barely possible, though...

Let's see over the previous decade 2008: John Schlitter came in first among solo male 50-59 and 10th for all males, on a Bacchetta I think 2009: Team RANS came in first for 4 man teams, only two 8 man teams beat them 2010: Bent Up Cycles came in third in their category (4 person male under 50)...

Weird, the time station and finish markers on the live tracker map differs from the results pages for each time station ad finish on the distances... OK, the official time station info states the finish line is at 3070.3 miles.

Are you sure about that distance? The RAAM results page for the finish line says the total distance is 3070.28 miles. I seem to recall a mention of a required portage perhaps due to road construction early on.

Christoph Strasser sure is a beast, he's expected to finish tonight! Team Cruzbike 3kc has moved up to fourth among all 4-person teams, 8th among all teams, but the remaining teams in front seem to be as fast as Cruzbike 3kc and aren't losing (much) ground. The Bavarian Ladies are hanging tough.

Where are you finding the time station information?

Those German ladies sure are killing it. Looking at their websites, three of them appear to be triathletes (one has gone to Kona, the Ironman world championship, multiple times).
