I just bought a Kickr Snap. What software do people recommend?
How do like the Kickr Snap with the cruzbike? Easy to put on and off? how bad is tire wear? I'm thinking of getting a trainer but don't want to have to disassemble the bike each use like i would with the kickr.

I’m using it with a V20 and it works fine. I’m not sure about tire wear. I have Cont. gp 4000 on it. There is some wear, but I don’t want to disassemble every time either, so I’m not going to worry about it. Maybe Ratz could chime in.

I have a V20 with Conti Grand Prix 4000sII. Just over a month on a Kickr Snap ruined a tire. It almost looked a bit melted and was pulling apart in the siping. I bought a dedicated training wheel and trainer specific tire.

The issue might have been related to the GP4000’s famously low rolling resistance. In order to get a good spin-down calibration I had the tire pumped to 110 psi and the Snap’s roller cranked 3.25 turns from first contact. All that tire deformation was probably not good for the tire. With the trainer tire, 110 psi and 2.25 turns of the roller crank are sufficient.

Trainer suggestion if: you have aluminum rims or brake surface that don't have a steel pin connecting them.

Result: Super quiet, no need to change tire, absolutely no wear on tire, made in Canada, awesome company, ownership, customer service, etc.

Original question: They will be coming out with a new app in the future that will be much prettier and have many more features. (They delivered kickstarter on time! so this is believable.) But for now the current version is a very basic app that displays power (instant, various averages, workout average) and cadence, speed, and diagnostics on two separate screens for use with their trainer via Bluetooth or ANT+ similar to a cycle computer - basic info that you'd want on your dash. Very functional.
