Switching to Tadpole Trike

Due to having a stroke in May, I have switched from riding my Silvio to riding a Tadpole Trike. Since I was riding the Top-of-Recumbent (Cruzbike of course), I went with same concept with my trike purchase - HP Velotechnik Scorpion fs 26 S-Pedelec – fs = Full Suspension, 26 = 26” rear wheel, Pedelec = electric assist

Bought the trike June 23rd and have over 4,000 miles on it already.

Photos of trike along with others various photos including many along trails here in Arvada area.

Ken, a lovely trike and suspension on the front as well!!!

I had a Scorpion FX with 3 * 20" wheels, great suspension on the rear, but none on the front, so I would stiffen if I came upon a sudden spoon drain!
With 1.3" Kojak tyres it handled like a go kart!!, and was very comfortable to ride!

Nice trike I have a Scorpion 26 fs without assist.
Scorpion 26 fs is a very comfortable trike very good on not so good roads.
Having an assist on a trike is Nice.
Without an assist, most trikes are slow.

It will be nice when Cruzbike has trike ready for sale.
It should be faster than most of the trikes available today.
I am a dealer trikes are easier to sell than two wheel recumbents.
I hope you stay healthy and continue to enjoy riding.

How much faster is the 26 fs, than the 20 fx, and what does it weigh?

I agree that the Cruzbike Trike will be MUCH faster, easier to mount/dismount than current tadpole trikes!

Thanks Peter - I'm doing really well now.....
Seems to be a great trike - about 4,500 miles in 6-months with only very minor issues - the ES is especially helpful since I live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. I have some really good trails and some not so good trails - It does great on both.
I lived near a recumbent dealer when I lived in Oklahoma - his sales were mostly trikes also.

Super Slim,
This model is the only trike I have ever ridden. I had been in the hospital for month and then spent several week doing Physical Therapy so was just glad to find a local dealer with trikes available so I could get back to riding. And, went with the ES as I wasn't sure of my strength and endurance. The 26 FS without ES is listed as weighing 18.2 kg (40 lbs) The Electric Assist models is 31 kg (68 lbs) - I ride with two batteries and can normally do about 70 miles in hilly terrain.
The Cruzbike Trike (or Cruzbike with trike attachment) should do really well when made available. And, would agree that it will be "MUCH faster, easier to mount/dismount than current tadpole trikes" With a slight balancing issue, I probably could still ride my Silvio with the trike attachment.

The Scorpion 26 fs that I have is a demo trike for customers.
Customers can test ride it and buy it at a cheaper price than a new trike.
I don’t ride it on a regular basis.
I did take it on a ride this summer to Arendal.
Arendal is our neighboring city that is about 25 kilometers one way.

I prefer to ride two wheel recumbents and have mostly used Cruzbike models.
I do some test riding with trikes and other recumbents.
